Teach The Teacher - a Training Workshop! 4/27 & 4/28 The Lone Star Uke Fest and UkeLady Music are pleased to announce a joint project to start a Ukes In The Classroom - Texas program for North Texas! Ukes in The Classroom - Texas is now a non-profit organization!Early Bird Registration Fee $179 until April 1st This workshop is geared to anyone who wants to start and maintain a successful fun ukulele program. It is designed for the classroom teacher, church music leaders, private music teachers, recreation and senior center leaders, etc. The program will be based on the proven program developed by James Hill and Chalmers Doane (founder of the classroom ukulele program in Canada). A portion of the proceeds from the Festival will go toward the purchase of ukes and books for this endeavor. Schools chosen to benefit from this program will be selected based on interest in developing an on-going ukulele program and on financial need. The schools selected will be required to have the instructor attend the Ukes In The Classroom Teacher Training Program on 4/27 & 4/28. Donations may be made for uke purchases and/or teacher scholarships on the Registration page. |
