The group consists of Dirje Smith, John Smith and David Hendley ... aliases Dirje Faye Wahoo, JB Wahoo and Hambone. When classical cellist Dirje Faye put down her cello and picked up a ukulele and started writing old timey-sounding novelty songs, Hambone jumped in with his repertoire of old songs, and JB was a natural with his huckster-salesman routine, honed from years of performing with an old time medicine show. They were the "darlings" of the 2010 Lone Star Uke Fest and even wrote our festival theme song. This year they have a bigger role in the festival and will be teaching workshops too.
